The
FC Barcelona Stadium will allocate two sessions of the IAMCR Working
Group on Media and Sport and one joint session of this working
group and the IAMCR Gender and Communication Section.
In total, 14 communications will be presented with participants
from all over the world. The presentations will be in English.
The FC Barcelona has collaborated with the Organising Committee
of Barcelona Conference and the Olympic Sport Studies Center of
the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in the organization
of these special sessions and they would offer a free visit to
the stadium and the museum of the club to those attending them.
How to participate
The capacity of the auditorium is 200 participants. The speakers
and chairpersons at the sessions would have priority and they
would receive an invitation directly from the Organising Committee.
The heads of the Working Group on Media & Sport and the Gender
& Communication Section will receive 25 invitations plus to
distribute among those participants at the Conference not presenting
but involved in the above mentioned working group or section.
Other people interested would be able to contact with the Secretariat
at the Conference to request an invitation. If you are interested
to participate, you can also send us an e-mail (cg.barcelona2002@uab.es)
informing us.
How to arrive
The FC Barcelona Stadium is an easy place to arrive by public
transport. The lines L3 and L5 of the underground arrive near
the Stadium situated at Avenue Arístides Maillol, s/n.
A transfer bus from the Conference venue (Institut del Teatre)
to the FC Barcelona Stadium will be available freely on 24th July
at 11.45h.
